- Presentiment - AVALANCHE -
(Introduction FMV. The camera pans slowly
across a starfield for several seconds before
we see a beautiful young woman looking directly
at us. Green embers waft upwards around
her face. The camera moves to show
that the embers are generated by
a Mako furnace in a dark alley as
the woman stares into it. After a few moments, she turns and leaves the alley, a basket of
flowers on one arm, and stops to stand at a
street corner. Our view of her is momentarily
obstructed by a massive train as it speeds past
through the town square. The camera swings
outward through the dark, dingy square, under a
stone arch, and then begins to swing upwards.
The view moves higher and higher until the
entire circular city of Midgar comes into view. The Final Fantasy VII logo appears
for a few moments before the camera begins to swing back down, into a different part of a city. A train is pulling into a
station in another dark alley. Two guards patrol the platform. Jessie flips spectacularly off the train. The guards attack
the intruder only to be knocked out by her skillful hands and feet. Barret hops out of the train, turns, and motions for another
to follow.)
FREEZE FRAME:
“BARRET WALLCE”
“Leader of rebel group AVALANCHE”
appears on screen.
"C'mon newcomer. Follow me."
(He runs upstairs. Cloud flips out of the train and follows him.)
FREEZE FRAME:
“CLOUD STRIFE”
“Ex-member of SHINRA’S elite military force SOLDIER” appears on the screen.
(They go through the
door and exit the reactor. FMV sequence. The reactor emits a ring of fire as it explodes spectacularly against the night sky.)
- Flowers Blooming In The Church -
(Cloud fell off the cliff from the reactor and landed in the church where Aeris
is at.)
(Cloud speaks while he’s in unconscious. He was talking to the
voice inside of him when he fell in the church. When Cloud opens his eyes, he sees Aeris.)

AERIS
Hello

Cloud looks around.
CLOUD
Where am I?
CLOUD
Who
are you?
AERIS
I’m Aeris.
FREEZE FRAME:

“Flower girl of the slums and last surviving Ancient”
appears on the screen
Cloud
I’m Cloud.
Cloud and Aeris escaped from the soldier and took Aeris home.
AERIS
I’m home mom!
Elmyra puts down her utensils and looks at Aeris and the Cloud.
AERIS
Oh this is Cloud. He walked me home and he is my bodyguard for today.
ELMYRA
Bodyguard? You mean you were followed again. Are you okay?
AERIS
I’m fine. Cloud here helped me get away.
ELMYRA
Well I’m grateful, Cloud.
CLOUD
It was
nothing.
ELMYRA
Perhaps you can stay for dinner, Cloud. It’ll be ready in about an hour.
CLOUD
Actually I’ve got to make my way to the Sector 7 slums.
AERIS
Why?
CLOUD
My friends think I’m dead.
CLOUD
Well… I really need to get going now before something else happens.
AERIS
Cloud! Were you planning on leaving without
me?
CLOUD
I can’t put you in danger. Shinra could
be all over the Sectors slums.
AERIS
I’m used to danger. Besides you need
someone who knows their way around.
ELMYRA
Aeris, Cloud is right.
AERIS
Mom, please! I don’t want to spend
my whole life running. I want to live!
ELMYRA
(BEAT)
Then you be careful.
AERIS
Thanks, mom.
FADE OUT
Cloud and Aeris goes taking
a tore and meets up Barret at the mansion underground cave where Vincent is at.
- Vincent Awakes –
FADE IN
He BURSTS through the doorway
and runs into the stone passage. He sees Aeris, and Barret walking toward him.
BARRET
(pointing to Cloud)
There he is!
Barret runs toward him. Suddenly
Cloud hears some noices from the room off to his right.
The tension is rising.
The door starts to CREEK open.
The door off to the right BURSTS
open.
CLOUD
(to Barret, and Aeris)
Look out!
CRASH! A STRANGE MAN dives
out from inside the room and tackles Barret. The man has long black hair with streaks of gray showing aging. He is wearing
a red scarf that hides his face.
Barret kicks the man off violently.
He lands on his feet. In one sudden movement the strange man pulls out two pistols and fires at Barret. He rolls out of the
way.
AERIS
Barret!
Cloud charged at the strange
man ready to ram him. The man slides out of the way and fires a bullet at Cloud. The bullet buries itself in his stuffed mog.
The strange man squints his
eyes, slightly surprised. Cloud dives after the man. Swiftly, the man moves out of the way and Cloud impacts the ground.
AERIS
(pointing to the wall)
Cloud! Your sword!
Cloud looks and sees his sword
up against the wall. He runs for it. Meanwhile, the man sees Cloud running and fires his pistols.
Cloud leaps in the air and
somersaults down grabbing his sword in the process. He twirls the sword around in his hands and gets in a fighting stance.
Meanwhile, Barret gets up and
shakes off the pain. The strange man reloads his gun and Cloud stand up ready to fight.
BARRET
Who is this guy?
The man aims his pistols at Cloud.
AERIS
He’ll slaughter him. Bullets against
a sword!?
BARRET
Have some faith. I’ve seen Cloud in
action. He can handle it.
Cloud stares at the man, with
his sword raised. The two stare into each other’s eyes.
Suddenly, BAM! BAM! The man
fires two shots. Cloud deflects them with his sword and charges at the man. The man continues to fire.
CLICK! The man’s guns
run out of ammo. He throws them aside and using his long red scarf, quickly dodges blows as Cloud swings his sword.
In one swift maneuver, - the
man shields himself with his scarf - pulls out a double barrel shotgun - and fires through his scarf and at Cloud. The blast
hits Cloud’s sword and he flies back dropping his sword.
BARRET
(awestruck)
Holy shit.
Cloud, having the wind knocked
out him, lies on the ground. The man walks and towers over Cloud. He loads two fresh shells in shotgun.
AERIS
Perhaps now is the time for us to
do something.
BARRET
With what? He broke my gun-arm!
BARRET
I don’t he came here to play poker, you retard!
BARRET
Now he’s
pissed!
The man aims his shotgun at the three. CRASH! BOOM! Cloud trips man causing him to fire
at the ground. He flips himself up and grabs his sword. SWOOSH! Cloud brings his sword to an inch from the man’s neck.
CLOUD
Game’s over.
The man looks up at Cloud.
BARRET
This asshole can start playin’ his tango of tears, cause he’s about to die.
CLOUD
(to the man)
So you’re the trick Hojo had up his
sleeve.
STRANGE MAN
Hojo? It was you who disturbed my sleep.
CLOUD
I didn’t disturb anything.
STANGE MAN
My long sleep gave me a chance to atone myself.
CLOUD
Your nightmare’s
over.
STRANGE MAN
Yours is just beginning.
(beat)
CLOUD
We didn’t come here to wake you up from whatever sleep you were in. I came down here
to confront a man named Sephiroth.
STRANGE MAN
What do you know about Sephiroth!?
CLOUD
More than you can possible imagine. What the hell do you know about him?
STRANGE MAN
He was created 10 years ago and then disappears. But now he’s reappeared. Sephiroth
has taken many lives and seeks the Promised Land.
BARRET
(surprised)
Who is this guy?
FREEZE FRAME:
“Vincent Valentine”
“Formerly of the Turks.”
STRANGE MAN
My name is Vincent Valentine, formerly of the Turks.
CLOUD
I’m Cloud, formerly of SOLDIER.
VINCENT
You mind relinquishing your sword from my neck? I’m harmless.
CLOUD
Didn’t look that way to me.
AERIS
Wait, you said you were a Turk?
VINCENT
Correct.
AERIS
You don’t
remember me?
VINCENT
Should
I have?
AERIS
When you were a Turk and when I was a little girl you came to my home and tried to have
me ripped away and taken to Shinra.
Vincent is silent.
(beat)
AERIS
You don’t remember, do you?
VINCENT
I apologize for the disappointment. My memory is hazy.
BARRET
That’s what a long sleep will do to ya.
CLOUD
What do you remember?
VINCENT
All I remember was being part of the Shinra Manufacturing Department in Administrative
Research. Basically I just remember being a Turk.
(beat)
VINCENT
(CONT’D)
You said you were in SOLDIER. Perhaps you know Lucrecia.
CLOUD
Who?
VINCENT
Lucrecia...the woman who gave birth to Sephiroth.
Cloud squints his eyes.
CLOUD
Gave birth? Jenova is Sephiroth’s mother.
VINCENT
That isn’t completely wrong, but it’s just a theory. Sephiroth was born from
a beautiful woman named Lucrecia. She was an assistant to Professor Gast. (staring off into space)
She was so beautiful.
AERIS
You
knew her?
VINCENT
I was in love with her. But I failed her.
AERIS
How?
VINCENT
That human experiment...I should have stopped her. But I didn’t that is my sin. And
for years I was asleep in my coffin trying to atone for my sins.
BARRET
You failed your girlfriend, and now you sleep in a box?
Cloud pulls away his sword from Vincent’s neck.
VINCENT
Thank
you.
CLOUD
There’s no time for any discussion. We
need to get to Rocket Town to find us an airship.
So Cloud, Barret, Aeris, and Vincent goes to the Rocket
Town and go find themselves a pilot and a airship.

Scene 5
- The Rocket Town –
Back in the mansion where the group had some conversation with Vincent,
they asked him to join the group. But Vincent insist to join the group. Right
after they had finished talking to Vincent, they are now heading toward to Rocket
Town. Cloud sees lots of pilots riding a plane and meets Cid Highwind.
ROCKET TOWN - BAR
Cid rubs his eyes and looks to his left to sees Aeris, Cloud and Barret enters the bar
room.
FREEZE FRAME:
‘Cid Highwind
War hero and expert pilot turning alcoholic’
CID
Hello.
AERIS
(walking towards him)
Are you ‘the
Captain’?
CID
(leaning
forward in his desk)
That depends on who’s asking. Who are you?
AERIS
My name’s Aeris Gainsborough. I’m here with my friends.
CID
Who told you I was here?
AERIS
The bartender.
Cid smiles and stands up from his desk.
CID
I
see.
(hitting on Aeris)
I should have known he’d send a beauty like you.
AERIS
What?
CID
(slowly walking toward Aeris)
Since he’s coverin’ the expenses...why don’t we get to it?
Confused, Aeris looks around nervously as, Cid seductively walks toward her.
AERIS
What’s going
on?
CID
So where you from?
A beat; then Aeris figures out what’s going on. She lets out a small laugh.
AERIS
I’m not a prostitute.
Cid reaches Aeris and puts his hands on her shoulders. Aeris tries to resist laughing.
CID
Of course you’re not. You’re just girl who’s attracted to good lookin’
pilots like me.
Cid smiles and Aeris turns her head away at the smell of his breath.
CID
What’s the matter, baby?
AERIS
You smell like alcohol and cigarettes.
CID
And you smell like roses blooming in a meadow.
Aeris laughs again and pushes herself away from Cid.
AERIS
(struggling)
Listen, I’m not...here for you...
(beat)
AERIS
(CONT’D)
Well I am here for you...just not like you think.
Cid starts to move in closer again.
CID
(seductively)
What’d ya say we stop wasting time, and get to it?
He grabs Aeris by the shoulder again and moves in to kiss her when;
SWISH! The sound of sword slicing through the air echoes throughout the hanger. Cid, feeling the tip of a sword against his
neck, lifts his head up away from Aeris.
CID
(to whoever is behind him)
And who might you be?
PAN BACK to see Cloud holding his sword to Cid’s neck.
CLOUD
The name’s
Cloud.
CID
(to Aeris)
A threesome? You are wild. But with another guy? I don’t swing that way.
CLOUD
Shut
up.
Cid raises his arms in surrender.
CID
May I turn around?
CLOUD
Go
ahead.
Cid turns around slowly to face Cloud.
CID
Nice
sword.
CLOUD
Thanks.
Aeris walks past Cid and stands next to Cloud.
CID
I get it now. You two are con-artists, right? One of them seduces me, while the other sneaks
in to rip me off.
CLOUD
Are you the Captain?
CID
(smiling)
That’s what people call me.
CLOUD
We need your help.
CID
Why should I help? You are holding a sword to my neck.
CLOUD
We heard you were still in league with Shinra. You can’t blame us for being cautious.
CID
(looking
into Cloud’s glowing eyes)If I didn’t know better, I’d say you were the one in league with Shinra.
AERIS
We’re not here to kill you.
CLOUD
We saw Palmer leave this hanger, and you’re telling me you’re not in league
with him?
CID
Palmer and I got a deal goin’.
CLOUD
Then you lied to us.
CID
So? I’d expect the same from you SOLDIER-boy.
AERIS
It’s okay Cloud. I think he’s drunk is all.
Cloud looks at Aeris - BOOM! Cid seizes the opportunity. He PUNCHES
Cloud - grabs his shoulders with his forearm and SLAMS Cloud to the ground. Immediately as Cloud IMPACTS with the ground,
Cid pulls out a SNUB NOSE PISTOL and aims it at Cloud.
CID
I forgot to tell you something about this measly pilot that’s aiming a gun at you.
(beat)
CID
(CONT’D)
I
was the best.
Cid kicks Cloud’s sword away leaving him defenseless.
BARRET
(We see Barret quietly enter the trying to evade Cid’s field
of vision.)
BOOM! Cid fires his gun. The bullet hit the hanger door an INCH away
from Barret’s head. Barret hits the ground for cover.
CID
Who’s your friend?
CLOUD
He’s
with us.
CID
You should have taken advantage of my gun moving away from your skull.
CLOUD
I told you, we’re not here to fight.
CID
Then why hold a sword to my neck?
CLOUD
I thought you were going to rape Aeris.
(Cid
laughs.)
CID
It’s been a year since I had my last good piece of ass. You can’t blame me.
(beat)
CLOUD
Put the gun down so we can talk. I promise nothing will happen.
Cid sighs and slowly lowers his gun.
CID
I guess if you wanted to start a fight you would have done it already.
CLOUD
(getting up)
Thank you.
CID
(holstering his pistol)
Don’t
mention it.
He pulls out another CIGARETTE and puts it in his mouth.
CLOUD
Enough talk. Will you lend us the airship or not?
CID
Sure.
I’ll lend you the airship. But what do I do get in a return?
CLOUD
We’ll pay you back whatever damages there is.
CID
It’s a deal. But I’m driving.

FADE IN
Scene 6
- Aeris Death -
Cid joins with Cloud, Aeris, and Barret. As they takes off Cid’s airship,
they all go look for Sephiroth hide out. While they’re going to find Sephiroth, Aeris made a quick stop. Cloud sees
Aeris makes a quick pray making sure no one gets hurt. While Aeris is praying, Sephiroth came falling down from the sky with
his sword and stabs Aeris’s back. Sephiroth’s sword went through Aeris’s back and he pulls his sword out.
Aeris’s material comes out of her and dies. As Aeris dies, Cloud hold Aeris against him on the ocean and lets her sink
down to the ocean.
FADE OUT
SCENE 7
- Cloud And Sephiroth -
FADE IN
As Cloud left Aeris in the ocean, he goes to find Sephiroth. While he is looking
for Sephiroth, Cloud sees a portal open and he walks in to the portal and falls down to the whole. As he’s traveling
down the portal, Cloud hears music in the portal. As Cloud is traveling, he sees Sephiroth in the portal and Sephiroth is
ready for cloud’s fight.
C’mon. You know I’m much way
too strong for you. You know you
can’t take me down. Why don’t
you just give it up. You’ll loose any way.(Cloud response back with his anger)
NEVER! NOT IN MILLION YEARS! You have killed
my family, you have killed Aeris,
now its my turn to kill YOU!
Then of course I did intend to destroyed
the place where I happens to meet
my mother Jenova. Yes Jenova. My Mother. You do remember
don’t you? She’s part
of you to you know. Sephiroth goes telling a story to Cloud.
But they… those worthless creatures
are stealing the plant from Mother.
But I’m here with you. So don’t
worry.Sephiroth pulls out the machine
and sees bloods coming out from the
machine. After he pulls it out, Sephiroth
sees his Mother Jenova in the glass
container. As he met his Mother Jenova,
he destroyed the place and cause the area
to caught on fire. Since his work is work is
done, he has this evil look on his face, lurns
around and walked through the fire. After Cloud finishes hear Sephiroth’s
story, he didn’t want to believe
him.Enough said. I’m tired of your foolishness.
You have killed everyone in the city
and you’ve ordered your own
people to destroy the whole reactors.
Well this time, you’re not getting away
from this. And now, I’m going to make you suffer.
Cloud and Sephiroth goes on head to head
with their sword.
Cloud got mad and uses his omnislash to
take out on Sephiroth. Cloud slices
and dices on Sephiroth and jump up
in the air and gave a big swing at
Sephiroth.As Sephiroth had beaten, his spirits comes
out of his body and vanish to thin
air. Cloud sees a green dust circling around him and he was wondering where
all the green dust comes from. Then he sees a hand coming towards him and sees Tifa’s hand trying to help Cloud out
of the cliff. As Cloud try to get out, the whole place starts to collapse and the group try escape from the danger. While
they trying to escape from the Highwind airplane, Tifa sees some green dust traveling through the area. As the green dust
travels, along Aeris face pops out on the screen.
